MICHAEL THOMAS MURRAY Echoes of Etta’s conceiver, arranger, music director and keyboardist recently completed a year -and-a-half run as music director of the acclaimed parody, 50 Shades! the Musical, Off-Broadway at the Elektra Theatre. He was also music director, arranger, keyboardist and associate producer for Forever Dusty, Off-Broadway at New World Stages. He has had the honor of music directing and/or playing with some of the luminaries of old-school rhythm and blues including: The Chantels, The Orioles, The Spaniels, Frankie Lymon's Teenagers, The Tymes, The Dubs, and his mentor, Soul and R&B legend, Jimmy Guilford, who was the inspiration for his Doowop/R&B musical, Great Googley Moo. As a composer, Mike has collaborated on Dance, Bojangles and 1812: the Musical among others. He has served as Resident Music Director at American Cabaret Theater in Indianapolis, as well as Revision Theater in Asbury Park, where he music directed acclaimed productions of Tommy, Rocky Horror, Spring Awakening, Kingdom, and Hedwig. Michael holds a B.A. in English from Yale University.
